"The Raptors are not going into the NBA's all-star break whole.
Andrea Bargnani, who has been out two weeks with a second bout with a strained left calf, won't play Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons, sending the Raptors into the off weekend still without a full roster.
Coach Dwane Casey said he couldn't be sure when the 7-foot Bargnani would return; he's still out "indefinitely" according to the team. Bargnani, who leads the club in scoring at 23.5 points per game, hasn't played since Jan. 25 in Utah and also missed seven games earlier with the same affliction. He's only played 13 games this season.
Since he's done no on-court work — he's doing low-impact rehab in a swimming pool with little work even in the weight room — it's unclear whether he'll be able to join the team for back-to-back road games at Houston and New Orleans right after the break."
